Mason 43 - New Decks

Spring is in the air at last!

It has been a long and very productive winter for Simplicity. The new deck project is finished and they look fantastic! Not only do they look good but in fact they are better than the original construction. I decided to recore the entire deck and in locations where hardware was to be mounted the core is solid GRP. This is great news because it means that even if water infiltrates it will never compromise the core. I plan to finish commissioning this week and launch her May 1st. She is priced to sell so feel free to come by and take a good look. I'm confident you will not find a better package out there at this price.

What was Done:
First we removed all the deck fittings, removed the old teak, studied the deck to see the extent of water infiltration and decided that if we removed the core it opened opportunity to fully glass in the the forward bow triangle and the aft deck areas. Once this hard work was completed we decided surface with gel coat and custom anti-skid. All the deck fittings have been bedded with new hardware used throughout.

Simplicity is on track for full commissioning early this season and as intended she is for sale and offered at only $125,000. At this price for this boat in this condition I doubt she will be here long.
